Phideaux Field is a community outreach of Forest Hill Presbyterian Church, managed in partnership with the City of Richmond.
This hidden gem offers a private, off-leash dog park where your four-legged friend can run free without the crowds. With plenty of space to romp and play, plus fresh water bowls and waste bags provided, it’s designed for both canine fun and owner convenience.
What dog lovers are saying: Phideaux Field has earned a 3.4 out of 5 rating from visitors on BringFido (2025). See what fellow dog owners have experienced below!
“This is a small dog park with a 4ft fence off of Forest Hill. It is a real gem when other dogs are there. It is very laid back and not very crowded. Often, the same people and dogs frequent the park, so it is its own little community. There’s also a small farmer’s market on Wednesday’s which is another exciting experience for you and your pet.”
“How many churches have you seen put a dog park in their front lawn? That’s darn cool. It’s small, but welcoming. :)”
“It’s a small park but great if you want to easily keep an eye on your dog. It’s not too crowded and usually empty in the mornings. There’s a park nearby in case it’s too busy. There’s not much grass but the dogs don’t seem to mind. The church provides toys too!”
