The Forest Hill Presbyterian Church Child Care Center is sponsored by the Forest Hill Presbyterian Church and is licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia. Our goals include the following:
- Provide a warm Christian atmosphere for children emphasizing Christian themes and objectives.
- Provide a needed service to the community
- Encourage harmonious working relationships between child care center staff, church staff and church members.
We accept children ages 18 months through 10 years. Our staff, and your child’s new friends in our center, will complement your love and interest in your child. It is our desire for each child to sparkle in some way each day.
We provide a morning and afternoon snack as well as lunch every day featuring a variety of healthy, fresh foods when in season.
Students are given multiple opportunities each day to participate in learning experiences, creative arts/crafts, music, outdoor play, as well as structured and unstructured play. We encourage children to problem solve while building their interpersonal relationships.
Absent COVID-19, we take walking field trips to Forest Hill Park, the Library and even the Fire Station. Other field trips are scheduled throughout the year including: Maymont Park, Pumpkin Patch and Children’s Museum.
